Ala Wai Canal
This beautiful waterway is located at the western entrance to Waikiki. Constructed in 1922, the Ala Wai Canal drains up to 150 in. of rainwater and empties into the Ala Wai Yacht Harbor. Golf courses, Hawaii Convention Center, apartments and condominiums can be found along its long stretch. There is also a well-lit walkway along the canal.
