    USS Arizona Memorial

    The USS Arizona Memorial was dedicated in 1962 to commemorate the December 7, 1941, Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. This event marked the entry of the Americans into World War II. The memorial straddles the sunken hull of the battleship USS Arizona.Send an Email Send an Email (50)

    Kukaniloko Birthing Stones
    This is one of the most ancient sacred sites in Oahu, comprising of a group of stones surrounded by eucalyptus and coconut trees. These uplands were where chiefs were born, famed chiefs lived and where crucial battles were fought. Kukaniloko was recognized as the royal birthsite on Oahu and assured a child high-ranking status. The birth, witnessed by 36 chiefs, was followed with chants, offerings and an umbilical cord-cutting ceremony.

    Iolani Palace

    Located in downtown Honolulu, the Iolani Palace was originally built in 1882 by the late King Kalakaua, and then restored in 1969. The interior of the palace is adorned with European furniture that reflects Hawaii's old culture. The palace is open for tours between Wednesday and Saturday weekly with advanced reservations. On Fridays the Royal Hawaiian Band performs in the Kalakaua Cornonation Bandstand.

    Dole Plantation

    The Dole Plantation is located in central Oahu, 40 minutes from Waikiki. There are three main attractions at the plantation, the Pineapple Express rail tour, the self-guided Garden Tour and the Pineapple Garden Maze. As well, there is a store that strictly sells Dole products and pineapple-featured food and beverages.
